UDGAM 2014 - Guwahati (Assam)

Udgam, previously known as IES, is the flagship event of the Entrepreneurial Development Cell, IIT Guwahati. It was conceptualized to develop and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth of the North-East, and India in general. Our mission is aptly illustrated through the tagline, “Conceive.Believe.Achieve.”

The Summit plays host to an interesting line-up of Lectures, Workshops, Startup Showcases, Panel Discussions and a plethora of events ranging from Business Pitch and Case Study competitions to titillating Quizzes.Udgam has always witnessed a huge participation from both students and professionals alike, who at the end emerge as Outliers, bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and the ability to think different and out of the box. The Lecture Series, the Workshops, Exhibitions and the Events together provide a complete learning experience to the attendees and enrich them with knowledge, confidence and drive, ready to change the world they live in.

The previous editions of Udgam have witnessed some igniting talks by Entrepreneurs and others who work to promote entrepreneurship in its true essence like PhanindraSama, Founder-CEO, Redbus.in, Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO, Datawind and the mastermind behind the Aakash Tablet, JapjitTulsi, Former Director of Engineering at Google, VP of Engineering at Stumbleupon, VarunAgarwal, founder of Alma Mater.
What makes Udgam even special this time is the Video Conference lecture on 17th Jan by Naveen Jain. Also we have Prominent speakers like Hina Shah and Arunachalam Muruganantham ready to share many details with us.
Udgam is the endeavor of the students of IIT Guwahati to provide individuals a platform to
know the true essence of entrepreneurship, realize their potential, gain fundamental experience and knowledge. It is an effort to inspire the youth to materialize their ideas and bring about a great change in the world. It is a great opportunity to the youth to discover their hidden potential and go along their desired path under proper guidance.
