When angineer started The concept of angineer was initiated somewhere during July 2007. Later name angineer was given in 2009 and started with a discussion forum, then in 2012 institutes and events blogs were started. In October 2013, angineer was revamped with set of features planned in 2007. Who is behind angineer an engineer and MBA guy Features What are various features in angineer As of October 2013, angineer was revamped with its initial set of features planned back in 2013. These are events, insitutes, classifieds, talks - the discussion, users portal, service providers, employers - companie, jobs, projects, exams, dhabas, posts, groups, product reviews and message exchange. What are Modules Modules are features at angineer. Users can access various features to discuss and share. Do various modules link to each other Depending on the module it may link to other modules. Users is a module which links to almost all other modules as those requires user information.
Events feature links with Institutes so that events can be associated with an Institute. Similarly, Dhabas, Classifieds, Exams link with Institutes.
Talks is another important module which links with many others and can be used independently as well. At talks, users can discuss on various topics which can be started on talk and can also do a talk on a topic of another module like on an Institute's facilities from Institutes module. How to use angineer Start by registering an account and activating it. This gives access to much more features then browsing as a guest user.
A registered user can access various features, post on various modules and participate in discussions. Go to page of a specific module and you can check module description there. What is talks talks is a discussion platform where discussion between users can take place on various topics.
It is a centralised system which is connected to other modules like institutes, events, services, products, projects etc. a talk can be started on a particular event, institute etc. with categorising the talk based on module. like for a product talk category could be features and details, for institutes like ranking, facilities, branches, for events like event list, venue etc. How to use talks talks can be used primarily for 2 kinds of dicussion. The first being a general talk on various categories and topics provided. A user can start a new talk under them and reply back.
The second being the module specific talk. This is unique feature at angineer which provides users with more flexibility to discuss on various things. Like a talk can be started on an Institute which is present in Institutes module, it can be started on an event from Events modules. Now, there are categories for these module specific talks. Like for an Institute what is the rating, facilities, how to reach etc. can be dicussed. For an event, event list, how to participate etc. can be discussed. talks is related to various modules.
A general talk can also be started a category Facilities under Institutes.
So, talks gives two ways of starting a discussion with Module specific talk giving a much more insight to that entity. Account Who can register Any stakeholder can register. An aspirant, student, alumni, lecturer, service provider, employer, institute etc. How to create an account Go to Register/Add User option and create an account. Why certain features need login Some pages, features, modules requires a user authentication for accessing resources. Login is required for such features. I do not have access levels to some features. What to do Some features may require additional access like moderators, admin, Post Guest etc. Check if you have access for the feature you want to access. What is verified User Verified User means that the user account has been verified by angineer. This generally happens in case of celebrity accounts or people who are popular on angineer. This is done to avoid confusion between similar user accounts and giving a trust of being genuine. General For whom is angineer.com angineer is primarily for engineering students, aspirants and alumni including diploma students and dimploma holders. It provides a platform to them by involving various stakeholders like employers, service providers, institutes, dhabas etc. Who are various stakeholders Engineering aspirants, students, alumni. Polytechnic dilpoma aspirants, students and alumni.
Teachers, Lecturers, Institutes, Employers, Service Providers likes Consultancy firms, HR, Internet Service Providers, Coaching Classes, Event Organisors, Newspaper/Magazine Providers; Sponsors, Dhabas etc. What are different colors given to various modules on Home Page We are working on make angineer better to use and provide features which an angineer may find helpful.
We classify various features/modules on the basis if they are present on angineer or will be included. We identify a requirement and place it there with a color code. Like Green is for live which means this feature is available at angineer though there could be issues in it. Yellow means, we are working on it and it may be available soon or in some cases some part of that module is available. Blue means it is planned and will be included some time. Red means that this feature can be useful but a decision is not taken if it would be included or not. |
